Camera quality degraded on custom ROMs

Custom ROMs based on AOSP use different camera processing pipelines than MIUI. Photos taken on crDroid, LineageOS, or similar look noticeably worse than the same photos taken on stock MIUI —” the AI scene detection, HDR, and noise reduction tuned by Xiaomi do not exist in AOSP. Installing GCam (Google Camera) port via Magisk module can restore most of the lost quality.
