Battery degraded below 75% capacity

The original 5500 mAh battery typically degrades to around 75% capacity after 800-1000 charge cycles, which usually happens in years 2-3 of regular use. Bootloader locked from factory

Xiaomi locks the bootloader on every Mi Max 3 from the factory. To install custom ROMs, you must request an unlock from Xiaomi via their Mi Unlock tool, then wait 168 hours (7 days) before the unlock takes effect. This is a deliberate friction designed to deter casual modders.
